Quarterly financial Report QFR Data

Overview

The Quarterly Financial Report (QFR) is lodged with government through GPMS each quarter. Two parts of it draw on data Maica already holds: occupancy and leave utilisation. Maica provides these as reports so you do not have to assemble the figures from separate systems. You still enter the totals into GPMS yourself; the reports simply give you a single, reliable source to read from.

This article explains the two reports and what each shows.

These reports support the QFR but do not replace it. You transcribe the figures into GPMS as part of your quarterly submission.

Occupancy reporting

The occupancy report shows how fully your beds were used across the quarter. It combines the operational bed count confirmed by Services Australia with each resident's entry and departure dates to work out occupied and unoccupied bed days.

What it shows

Total operational beds

The bed count Services Australia confirmed for the service, per claim month.

Occupied bed days

The number of days beds were occupied, derived from residents' entry and departure dates across the quarter.

Unoccupied bed days

Leave utilisation reporting

The leave utilisation report summarises the leave residents took during the quarter, broken down by leave type. It draws on the leave records you enter against residents.
