# Checklists

## How do I access Shift Checklist(s)?

To view your Shift Checklist(s), simply open a Shift and then click the `Checklist` button at the bottom of the screen to bring up the dialogue box. Once selected, you will see the allocated Checklist(s) to your Shift grouped by Shift Service.

{% hint style="info" %}
You will only see Checklist Item(s) that are set to an execute status of `During` or `Either`. Any other Checklist Item(s) will be shown at either the [Check-In](/maica-knowledge-base/shifts/shift-actions/check-in.md) or [Check-Out](/maica-knowledge-base/shifts/shift-actions/check-out.md) stage.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="warning" %}
If you have no Checklist(s) assigned to your Shift, this Action will not be visible.
{% endhint %}

## Checklist Actions

### 1. Checklist Item Note

For each **Checklist Item,** if so configured in the [Checklist](/maica-knowledge-base/getting-started/maica-key-concepts/checklist.md), you are prompted to provide further information to manage possible outcomes of **Checklist Items** in the form of a **Note**. You access this **Note** by simply clicking on each **Checklist Item.**

{% hint style="info" %}
You can also change the `Status` of the Checklist Item by clicking on the Item itself.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="info" %}
Checklist Item Notes can be configured directly from a Checklist. To learn more about Checklist Item Notes, click [here](/maica-knowledge-base/getting-started/maica-key-concepts/checklist.md).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://knowledge.maica.com.au/maica-knowledge-base/shifts/shift-actions/checklists.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
