This section will walk you through how to install the Maica managed package into your Salesforce environment.

We recommend installing Maica in a Sandbox first prior to your Production instance

Install Maica from the AppExchange

Maica is a managed package that can be viewed via the Salesforce AppExchange. For Maica to remain compliant with the NDIS and data sovereignty requirements, you'll need to contact Maica and have our team install the App for you into your Salesforce environment. Why is this? We need to physically verify that your Salesforce instance is located in Salesforce's Australian data centre.

You can either grant the Maica team access to your environment and we can do this on your behalf, or, alternatively, you can send us a screenshot of your Company Information from Salesforce Setup. Just make sure this includes the Instance like the image below.

To confirm your instance is located in Australia, the Instance will have an AUS prefix

Pre-Installation Steps

The steps below must be completed or validated (as they may already be done in your Salesforce environment):

Lightning Email Templates - Folders and Enhanced Sharing

Ensure the Folders and Enhanced Sharing setting is turned ON.

If the Folders and Enhanced Sharing setting is not turned on before installing the Maica package, you'll receive an email notifying you that the package failed to install.

Next Steps

Whilst we have done our very best to pre-configure as many of the Salesforce settings as possible, there are some steps that cannot be completed as part of the App install. There are some required post-install steps that are discussed in the next section.
